RESIDENTIAL

One of the biggest arenas for designers is residential design, or the interiors of spaces in which people live. This can include houses, apartments, condos, and anywhere else where people reside. Being comfortable at home is essential now, and in this sense the intervention of an interior designer who collaborates with you will help you plan spaces, thinking of how you live and what you need. How can we help you?

The design of your home shouldn’t revolve solely on aesthetics. Your home should be designed based on lifestyle, specific goals and what makes you feel most comfortable. The design process with our clients is a collaborative one. We create a floor plan that encompasses your wish list and work together until we’ve reached a final layout. We then begin the sourcing process from selecting materials, lighting and furniture while also designing certain elements such as cabinets and architectural details. At the end of the process, you will have a set of drawings that will allow a contractor to quote your renovation. We can’t wait to start a new project with you!

Village Park

Village Park Residence
Scope: Custom Home, Landscape Design
Location: Beamsville, ON
A west coast style home designed and built in 1980 on a picturesque pie shaped lot backing onto a wooded ravine. The exterior consists of clear cedar stained grey and charcoal. The flat roofed, crescent shaped house is designed to fit the pie shaped lot with large rear windows on two levels that take advantage of the ravine view.  The house facade is more private. Although the kitchen’s large windows look onto the back garden and the ravine, other windows provide a view to the front drive and landscaping. Custom skylights in two corners of the kitchen allow light to pour in. The plan is open concept on the main floor with kitchen, dining room, living room and media room flowing together for easy access and maximum use of space. Bedrooms and baths are on the second level. Three cedar decks in a platform design on the main floor extend the living space for outdoor entertaining. There is also a small deck off the master bedroom. Over the years minor renovations have been made and finishes and furniture have been updated. The home’s contemporary interior is now painted in SW White Dove and SW Forged Steel. A collection of colourful artwork, a custom wall mural and North American Native art has added to the ambience and reflects the owners’ personalities. This is a home that welcomes friends and family and is perfect for entertaining.
